How long will the work take?

The requirements for each window varies but on the Rl system it is usual for one person to do one to two windows per day. On the R2 system it is usual for one person to do one window in two days.

Will there be scaffold?

No the majority of the work is carried out from inside the room at the window location.

Will there be much disruption during the installation?

Inevitably there will be some disruption due to the noise, dust and opening to the elements. However great care is taken over cleanliness at each stage of the work.

Will my property be secure during the work?

Yes , at the end of each day all windows will be either completed or fully secured.

What about the paintwork?

Woodsmiths do not include for the paintwork on the Rl system but all repairs and bare wood are treated as a matter of routine with primer / undercoat.

Does woodsmiths offer a guarantee?

Yes we automatically offer a five year guarantee to cover the draught proofing and all repairs

How long can we expect the repairs to last?

The repairs that woodsmiths specialise in are not temporary patch ups, but solid permanent solutions that are intended to preserve the structure for the future.

Will the repairs be visible?

No a good repair should not stand out once painted.

What is the payment structure?

Payment is required in full on completion of work.
